The Living Poets Society

Spoken Word25 Nr081 A0568

Museum Huis van het boek is the home of the Living Poets Society. Are you a lover of poetry and spoken word? Join us for three intimate sessions where we dive into a collection by a prominent poet. A space for readers, writers, and performers who want to experience — and share — the power of words.

Welcome to The Living Poets Society!

Do you love poetry? Do you perform spoken word? Do you enjoy playing with language?

At the Living Poets Society we gather around a collection by a prominent writer. We read, recite, and take a closer look at the poems together. Inspired by what we’ve read, we create new writing in response. Along the way, we explore confessions, meanings, relationships, and imagery within the work.

This shared experience creates intimacy, warmth, and connection. The Living Poets Society is for everyone who calls themselves a writer, performer, or reader.
